Why I do what I do

Welcome, friend. I’m so glad you’re here. Before anything else, I want you to know that this space, my photography, my words, my story, all exist because of God’s grace. Every picture I take, every moment I capture, is a reflection of how deeply He’s worked in my life.

There was a time when I felt completely lost, unsure of who I was or what my purpose could possibly be. I was searching for something to fill a hole that only God could fill. That’s when He led me to Teen Challenge — a place that became my turning point, my safe haven, and ultimately, the beginning of my redemption story.

Through my time there, I met Jesus in a real and powerful way. He pulled me out of darkness and showed me what true freedom and love look like. Teen Challenge wasn’t just a program; it was where I found healing, purpose, and the unshakable truth that I am His.

In that season of transformation, I began to see beauty in the small, quiet moments — sunlight on a field, laughter shared between friends, tears of hope. That’s when photography became more than a passion. It became a calling.

Today, I use my camera to share the same light that saved me. Each photo I take tells a story of God’s goodness, grace, and presence in our everyday lives. Life Through Abby’s Lens is a testimony to how He can take what was broken and make it beautiful again. My prayer is that when you see my work, you don’t just see photos — you feel His love shining through them.
